Partnership Agreement / Sponsorship Terms - ECW Dakar 2026

Version 2.0 - Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. Purpose

These Partnership Terms govern sponsorships, commercial partnerships and activations associated with Executive Cybersecurity Week - ECW Dakar 2026.

They are incorporated into the commercial document signed by the Sponsor, referred to as applicable as the Sponsorship Order, Partnership Agreement, Partnership Order, Accepted Quotation or Agreement.

No corporate sponsorship is activated merely by completing the Request Partnership Access form. The partnership is concluded after signature of the applicable commercial document. Payment then takes place according to the invoice / agreed schedule.

2. Parties

The Sponsor is the organisation identified in the signed Agreement.

The ECW contracting entity is the one specified in that Agreement. Where the Agreement designates Cobadisec, Cobadisec is the Sponsor's commercial contracting party.

ECW's operational, commercial or technical partners do not become parties to the contract merely through their involvement.

3. Contractual process

The standard journey is:

  1. public consultation of offers and prices;
  2. submission of Request Partnership Access;
  3. creation of an ECW commercial opportunity;
  4. qualification / commercial discussion;
  5. personalised proposal;
  6. signature of the Agreement;
  7. issuance of an invoice / payment details;
  8. payment;
  9. activation of the sponsor organisation;
  10. creation / activation of the Organization Admin and team access;
  11. onboarding and activation of Partner Hub rights.

The Sponsor must check the commercial summary before signing.

4. Information collected before signature

The Partnership Access request may collect, in particular:

  • registered organisation name / brand;
  • country;
  • sector;
  • website;
  • primary contact;
  • objective (sales, partnership, investment, recruitment, expansion, visibility, etc.);
  • target markets and countries;
  • target sectors;
  • target profiles;
  • proposed package;
  • proposed activations;
  • team size;
  • participation mode;
  • Founding Access Code;
  • information useful for preparing the quotation.

This information is used to prepare the offer and does not yet constitute an ECW commitment to provide the requested package.

5. Offers and levels

Public levels may include:

  • Startup Access Partner;
  • Startup Growth Partner;
  • Startup Scale Partner;
  • Executive Partner;
  • Strategic Partner;
  • Presenting Partner.

Separate activations may be added: Executive Showcase, ECW Live Partnership, Sector Partnership, Strategic Conversation, Executive Connections, Certification & Talent Partnership, Dinner Partnership, Lounge / Meeting Experience, content and other agreed activations.

Only the rights set out in the signed Agreement are contractually owed.

6. Catalogue value and Founding Partner Rate

Public values / rates for the inaugural edition may be displayed on the Website. The Founding rate applies only under the conditions of the offer and with a valid code where required.

A catalogue value is not a commitment to a permanent discount. Negotiated or specific rates are confidential where they are not published.

7. Signature and effective date

The partnership becomes contractual on the date the parties sign the Agreement or on another date specified in the Agreement.

Unless otherwise stipulated, paid rights requiring resources to be committed may be conditional on receipt of the amount due.

An electronic signature may constitute a valid signature where it allows identification of the signatory and establishment of their consent under applicable legal conditions.

8. Payment

The price, currency, taxes, payment schedule and due date are set out in the Agreement / invoice.

Payment is primarily by bank transfer for B2B partnerships, or by another expressly approved method.

The Sponsor must use the invoice reference. A change of bank details must be verified through an official ECW channel before payment.

9. Late payment / payment default

In the event of non-payment by the due date, ECW may, after notification where necessary:

  • suspend onboarding;
  • suspend or defer Partner Hub access;
  • withhold activations not yet performed;
  • suspend branding / visibility rights not yet performed;
  • apply interest / charges provided by law or the Agreement;
  • terminate in accordance with applicable terms if the breach persists.

10. Sponsor organisation and team

10.1 Organization profile

A confirmed organisation may have a Partner Hub profile showing, in particular:

  • brand / name;
  • logo;
  • category;
  • public partnership level;
  • description;
  • solutions / sectors;
  • website and LinkedIn;
  • visible ECW team members.

10.2 Organization Admin

The Sponsor designates one or more authorised administrators. An administrator may invite members within the limits of the agreed rights.

10.3 Multiple roles

A Sponsor team member may also be:

  • VIP;
  • Speaker;
  • Ambassador;
  • Training Participant;
  • or the holder of another confirmed status.

These roles are managed separately and do not follow automatically from Sponsor status.

10.4 Seats vs passes

Organization seats / Hub access are separate from physical passes / event credentials. A team user is not automatically authorised to enter the Forum physically.

11. Partner Hub - right of use

11.1 Commercial purpose

Depending on their rights, the Partner Hub allows the Sponsor to:

  • discover professional profiles;
  • filter sectors / roles / countries;
  • create shortlists;
  • request connections;
  • request meetings;
  • request private contacts where this feature is included;
  • benefit from curated introductions where provided.

11.2 Visible data

The Sponsor receives only the data corresponding to their access level. Private contact details remain protected unless the person concerned takes an authorised action.

11.3 Mandatory restrictions

The Sponsor must not engage in:

  • scraping;
  • bulk extraction;
  • unauthorised export;
  • circumvention of restrictions;
  • resale / brokerage;
  • creation of a competing database;
  • unauthorised automated enrichment;
  • harassment;
  • spam;
  • repeated contact after a refusal;
  • credential sharing;
  • use for an unlawful purpose or one incompatible with ECW's professional context.

11.4 Prospecting outside the Hub

Where a Sponsor continues a relationship outside the Partner Hub after a connection, they become responsible for compliance with the rules applicable to their own communications and data processing.

ECW does not guarantee that visibility of a professional email alone constitutes consent to every form of prospecting.

12. Executive Connections / introductions

Where the Agreement provides for curated introductions:

  • ECW may identify relevant profiles;
  • propose an introduction;
  • forward a request;
  • facilitate a meeting.

ECW sells neither the person nor their consent.

No package guarantees that a participant will accept:

  • a meeting;
  • a connection;
  • sharing a private number;
  • a commercial proposal;
  • a contract.

13. No guarantee of ROI

ECW undertakes to deliver the agreed rights but does not guarantee:

  • a number of signed contracts;
  • a pipeline amount;
  • sales;
  • investment;
  • recruitment;
  • concluded partnerships;
  • a number of individual responses;
  • a specific financial ROI.

Business decisions belong to the participants and organisations concerned.

14. Sponsor visibility and trademarks

For the duration and purposes of the partnership, the Sponsor authorises ECW to reproduce:

  • name;
  • brand;
  • logo;
  • description;
  • approved visuals;
  • authorised sponsor content.

The Sponsor warrants that they hold the necessary rights to the elements provided.

ECW endeavours to comply with brand guidelines communicated within a timeframe compatible with production.

15. ECW trademarks

The Sponsor may use ECW trademarks, logos or visuals only:

  • during and within the scope of the partnership;
  • in accordance with the guidelines provided;
  • without modifying or distorting the brand;
  • without implying a certification, editorial endorsement, joint venture or exclusivity that does not exist.

After the partnership ends, accurate historical communications ("Strategic Partner ECW Dakar 2026", for example) may remain accessible, but no new communication may imply an ongoing partnership.

16. Editorial / Speaking

Unless expressly stipulated in writing:

  • sponsorship does not buy a keynote;
  • sponsorship does not buy an editorial opinion;
  • ECW retains editorial control;
  • any sponsored session must be clearly identifiable as such where necessary;
  • a speaker remains subject to ECW's content, safety and timing standards.

17. Executive Showcase

Where a Showcase is purchased:

  • the format, location, schedules, dimensions and technical constraints are defined by the Agreement / production arrangements;
  • the Sponsor complies with venue rules and asset delivery deadlines;
  • ECW may reject content that is illegal, dangerous, infringing or materially incompatible;
  • the Sponsor bears additional costs not expressly included in the package.

An ECW Showcase is not necessarily a conventional booth or stand.

18. Hospitality / dinners

Dinner, Lounge or hospitality seats:

  • are limited to the agreed quota;
  • are subject to venue rules;
  • may not be resold;
  • do not create a right to the Private Executive Experience unless expressly stated.

19. Category / exclusivity

Any exclusivity must be expressly set out in writing and define:

  • category;
  • scope;
  • duration;
  • any exceptions;
  • pre-existing or institutional partners excluded from exclusivity.

No exclusivity follows from the package level.

20. Confidentiality

Each party protects non-public information received in connection with the partnership, including:

  • negotiated prices;
  • non-public lists / profiles;
  • strategic information;
  • production documents;
  • security;
  • information expressly marked confidential.

The obligation does not apply to information already public, lawfully obtained from a third party or required to be disclosed under a legal obligation.

21. Personal data

Each party complies with the regulations applicable to its own processing activities.

The Sponsor undertakes to process data accessible through ECW only:

  • for legitimate professional purposes;
  • within the limits of their rights;
  • with appropriate information / legal basis for any subsequent use;
  • with adequate security measures.

Detailed rules are set out in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

22. Compliance, ethics and anti-corruption

Each party undertakes to comply with applicable laws, including those concerning:

  • corruption;
  • influence peddling;
  • fraud;
  • money laundering;
  • applicable sanctions / restrictions;
  • competition;
  • intellectual property;
  • personal data.

No payment or benefit may be used to buy a public decision, editorial selection or confidential access not provided for.

23. Sponsor service providers

The Sponsor is responsible for its agencies, subcontractors and staff involved in its activation.

Any external company needing access to an ECW area, asset, platform or data must be authorised in advance.

24. Cancellation by the Sponsor

Unless otherwise stipulated in the signed Agreement:

  • signature constitutes a binding B2B commitment;
  • invoiced amounts remain due;
  • production costs and reserved inventory may be committed immediately;
  • any exit, reduction or credit requires ECW's written agreement.

ECW may, without obligation, accept an activation substitution or deferral of value where commercially and operationally reasonable.

25. Changes / postponement by ECW

ECW may change a venue, schedule, speaker, format or configuration where necessary.

Where a specific sponsor element becomes unavailable, ECW seeks in good faith:

  • an activation of comparable value;
  • repositioning;
  • postponement;
  • a credit;
  • or a refund of the unperformed portion if no reasonably equivalent solution is provided and the law / Agreement provides for it.

26. Force majeure

In the event of force majeure or an event beyond reasonable control, ECW may postpone, relocate, adopt a hybrid format or adapt the event.

The parties cooperate to preserve the partnership's value as far as possible. Obligations that become definitively impossible to perform are dealt with under the Agreement, Terms of Sale and law.

27. Termination for breach

A party may terminate for a serious breach not remedied within a reasonable period after formal notice, unless the breach justifies immediate action.

ECW may immediately suspend access in the event of:

  • fraud;
  • a security breach;
  • corruption;
  • unlawful use of data;
  • bulk scraping;
  • serious harm to participants;
  • substantial non-payment;
  • serious and demonstrable harm to the event's brand / security.

Termination does not extinguish amounts already due or surviving obligations (confidentiality, intellectual property, data, disputes).

28. Liability

Each party is responsible for its own acts and those of its personnel / service providers within the limits provided by law.

Except in cases of fraud, gross negligence, breach of confidentiality / data obligations or mandatory obligations, ECW's overall liability under the partnership is capped at the amount excluding tax actually paid under the relevant Agreement.

ECW is not responsible for a business decision made between a Sponsor and a participant.

29. Indemnification

The Sponsor indemnifies ECW against third-party claims resulting directly from:

  • content / a logo provided without rights;
  • an unlawful sponsor campaign;
  • a dangerous or illegal product presented by the Sponsor;
  • data processing performed by the Sponsor outside ECW rights;
  • a breach of these Terms attributable to the Sponsor.

This obligation is limited to demonstrated losses and reasonable costs, subject to applicable law.

30. Assignment

The Sponsor may not assign the Agreement or its access rights without ECW's written authorisation, except for an internal restructuring authorised by the Agreement.

ECW may transfer the contract to an entity effectively taking over operation of the initiative, provided this does not substantially reduce the Sponsor's rights and the Sponsor is informed.

31. Order of precedence

In the event of a conflict:

  1. Sponsorship Order / signed Agreement;
  2. specific activation annex;
  3. these Partnership Terms;
  4. Terms of Sale;
  5. Terms of Use;
  6. general marketing content.

Marketing content cannot extend a right beyond the signed Agreement where a precise scope is defined in it.

32. Duration

The Agreement applies to the stated edition / period.

An ECW Dakar 2026 partnership is not an annual subscription unless expressly stipulated.

After the event, the organisation may remain in ECW's Priority Partner Network and receive future offers. Any future activation is contracted separately unless included in writing.

33. Governing law and dispute resolution

Where Cobadisec is the contracting entity:

  • the contract is governed by Senegalese law;
  • the parties first attempt an amicable resolution for 30 days from a detailed written notice;
  • they may then agree to mediation under the OHADA Uniform Act on Mediation;
  • failing agreement, the competent courts of Dakar have jurisdiction, subject to any contrary mandatory rule.

If another contracting entity is expressly designated in the Agreement, the law and jurisdiction stated in that Agreement prevail.

34. Entire agreement

The Agreement and the documents incorporated into it express the entire commercial agreement on the relevant package and supersede prior exchanges concerning the same subject matter.
