This page enables you to exercise your rights regarding personal data processed in connection with Executive Cybersecurity Week.
1. Available requests
You may, in particular, request:
- Access - find out whether ECW processes data about you and obtain a copy of that data;
- Source - learn the source of a piece of data, where available;
- Correction / updating - correct inaccurate or outdated information;
- Completion - complete incomplete information;
- Deletion / blocking - request deletion or blocking where legally possible;
- Objection - object to certain processing on legitimate grounds;
- Direct marketing - object free of charge to the use or disclosure of your data for direct marketing purposes;
- Partner Hub - request a review of your visibility or professional information;
- International transfers - obtain available information about transfers of your data to third countries;
- Consent - withdraw optional consent;
- DPO enquiry - ask a question about ECW processing or a policy.
2. Required information
The form may request:
- surname;
- first name;
- email used for ECW;
- organisation;
- country;
- request type;
- a sufficiently precise description of the request.
Do not attach a copy of an identity document without being asked. ECW will request one only where necessary and proportionate to prevent disclosure to an unauthorised person.
3. Identity verification
If ECW cannot reasonably verify the requester’s identity using the account or information already available, additional evidence may be requested. Any document received for this purpose must be used only to verify identity and then deleted as soon as it is no longer needed, subject to evidentiary requirements.
4. Response time
ECW acknowledges receipt of the request and handles it within the time limits set by applicable regulations.
For correction / deletion operations covered by Article 69 of Senegalese Law No. 2008-12, the controller must be able to provide evidence of the operations carried out within one month after the request is registered.
Where a request is complex, unclear or requires verification, ECW may ask for additional information.
5. Legal limitations
Certain data cannot be deleted immediately where it must be retained for:
- evidence of a contract;
- an accounting / tax obligation;
- security;
- a dispute;
- a legal obligation;
- the defence of legal claims.
In that case, ECW restricts use to the purposes that justify retention.
6. Requests concerning another person
A representative may act for a data subject if they provide evidence of valid authorisation. ECW may verify the scope of that authorisation before disclosing data.
7. Direct contact
