Version 2.0 - Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Purpose
This Policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on executivecyberweek.com and associated ECW interfaces.
A cookie is a small file or identifier that may be stored on or read from a user’s device to provide a function, remember a choice, protect a session or measure the use of a service.
2. Controller
For the ECW Website operated in Senegal, the principal data controller is Cobadisec, as identified in the Legal Notice.
Privacy contact: dpo@bluepinksecurity.com.
3. Cookie categories
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential to the operation or security of the service. They may be used, in particular, to:
- maintain a session;
- authenticate an account;
- prevent unauthorised access;
- remember privacy preferences;
- secure forms;
- balance or route technical requests;
- preserve the integrity of the Partner Hub;
- enable purchased services to operate.
Disabling them through your browser may prevent certain functions from working.
3.2 Audience measurement / analytics
If this category is enabled, these trackers help understand:
- which pages are visited;
- which acquisition sources work;
- which steps lead to abandonment;
- which features are used;
- the Website’s technical performance.
They are enabled only in accordance with the choice expressed in the Preference Center, except for measurement that is strictly necessary and legally permitted.
3.3 Personalisation
These trackers may remember non-essential choices to personalise the experience, such as language, preferred views or recommended content.
3.4 Marketing / attribution
When this category is enabled, trackers may help:
- measure a campaign;
- attribute a partnership request to a source;
- avoid unnecessarily repeating certain messages;
- measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.
The Founding / sales code voluntarily entered in a B2B request may also be retained in the commercial record independently of cookies, to document the source of the request.
4. Third-party services
Certain features may rely on third-party services, including authentication, audience measurement, embedded content, security or payment. Where a third-party service stores or reads trackers that are not strictly necessary, its activation is subject to the user’s applicable preferences.
The tracker categories actually enabled are presented in the Preference Center accessible from the Website.
5. Information available in the Preference Center
For each enabled category, the Preference Center states the corresponding purposes and allows users to change their choices where consent or a preference is required.
6. User choices
On their first visit, users can choose the non-essential categories offered by the banner / Preference Center.
Choices can be changed at any time through /preferences.
Refusing an optional category must not prevent access to public content or the basic service, except where the tracker concerned is strictly necessary for the requested function.
7. Retention period
Cookies have a lifespan proportionate to their purpose. The Preference Center displays the exact lifespan of each tracker.
As an internal policy, non-essential trackers must not be retained indefinitely and are reviewed regularly.
8. Third-party cookies after redirection
When a user clicks through to a third-party service - including a payment provider, LinkedIn or another platform - cookies placed on that third party’s domain are governed by its own policy.
9. Browser settings
Users can also control or delete cookies through their browser. Certain account or security functions may stop working if all cookies are blocked.
10. Regulatory basis
ECW’s policy complies, in particular, with the information and choice requirements concerning the storage of or access to information on a user’s device under applicable Senegalese personal data regulations.
