Accessibility

ECW seeks to make its content and journeys usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

1. Digital accessibility objective

For the Website, ECW aims progressively to meet the relevant criteria of WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

This statement expresses a design objective and is not a certified declaration of conformance until a formal audit has confirmed the level achieved.

2. Accessibility measures

Depending on the page and component, ECW works, in particular, on:

  • keyboard navigation;
  • logical focus order;
  • sufficient contrast;
  • text alternatives;
  • form labels;
  • understandable error messages;
  • zoom / responsive design;
  • readable text;
  • reducing problematic animations;
  • captions / transcripts where possible for critical content.

3. Event accessibility

A participant with an accessibility need may report it before the event through /contact, under the “Accessibility” category.

ECW will assess accommodations that are reasonably available, taking into account the venue, security, timing and nature of the need.

4. Report a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility issue, state:

  • the page / feature;
  • the problem encountered;
  • the device / browser, if useful;
  • the alternative format requested, where relevant.

ECW will try to provide a solution or a reasonable alternative.
